Hana Hutníková
THE TRACE OF LIFE
Exhibition opening: 19. 5. 2017 / 19.00 hod. Exhibition's duration: 22. 5. - 26. 6. 2017 Exhibition's curator: Ivana Komanická
The exhibition THE TRACE OF LIFE brings a site-specific installation, which was created in response to the architectural specificity of the Šopa Gallery. Post-minimalist tactile ceramic objects organically resonate with what we imagine under geological findings. THE TRACE OF LIFE is a contemporary reinterpretation of the Wunderkabinet with marvellous and falsified objects, which can be believed to have been created by nature itself. Hutníková’s current sculptural work includes procedures connected with archaic creation as well as contemporary artistic practice, continuing in her sculptural work the search for the cavity as a trace of life, while this search is instructed by reproduced photography and the staged museum situation.
