Workšopa

As part of the gallery program, we offer you specialized courses and workshops. These are often thematically linked to our exhibitions. During Workšopa, you will be guided by our artists who exhibit in our space, residency artists, or other professional lecturers. For example, we have organized workshops in ceramics, watercolours, sculpturing, pyrography, bookbinding, calligraphy,… and we are preparing many more.

Silkscreen printing

We are artists and designers with great affection for graphic and photographic techniques. Since 2017, we have set up a silkscreen printing studio at the Šopa Gallery.

We organize a group and individual courses, guided tours for students or we offer custom made printing.

We specialize mainly in graphic prints, but we do not reject printing on textiles in a small amount. We have an available quality cotton paper from Fabrianno or Munken, screens in dimensions: 330 x 430 mm and 700 x 1000 mm. We work with water-based colours, so the textile prints are kids-friendly.

We are a suitable choice for printing your author’s graphics (approximately 50 copies), whether you want to print them yourself with our help (course) or leave it to us (custom printing).

We are not suitable for printing a large number of advertising textiles or merchandise (up from 100 pieces).

Approximate prices for custom printing:

1 screen (1 layer / color) 330 x 430 mm: 150 euros, 30 prints on Munken paper

2 screens (2 layers / colors) 330 x 430 mm: 250 euros, 30 prints on Munken paper

Silkscreen printing course

We usually offer this course 2 to 3 times a year.

Capacity is 4 people / course.

The price of the course is 130 euros/person.

The price of the course includes all materials, preparation for printing and matrix, lighting, cleaning, guidance by a lecturer.

We offer the course also for the English speakers.

The course takes place in 3 parts:

Short lecture and presentation of graphic technology, consultation of designs and preparation for printing (approx. 2-3 hours)
Exposing screens / photochemical dark process (voluntary participation after the agreement with the lecturer)
Individual printing of graphics (approx. 3-4 hours)

To register for the course, you have to sign up at info@sopagallery.sk and pay the full price of the course.

Cancellation of registration and refund of 100% of the price is possible a maximum of 10 working days before the start of the first day of the course.
