Kaoru Furuko dedicates her work to stop-motion animation will present her latest work called Tryptocos. Combined with Nimway’s Future Beat music, Tryptocos is an audiovisual trip through the unexplored organic world. Other screenings in the exhibition will be devoted to scenes from her previous work. In addition, the exhibition offers insight into the production of animated film through the display of props, scenes and behind-the-scenes footage.

Kaoru has an animation style that results from the precise way how she handles different materials as actors, and at the same time playfully lets herself find her own place in the composition.

Kaoru Furuko’r residency was within the project K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence. Košice Artist in Residence is a residency programme of Creative Industry Košice organization.  The residency is supported by MR SR and EU – Japan Fest Japan Committee. The residency was organized in cooperation with Cinefil o.z.
