NEOCLASSICAL ARCHITECTURE IN FURNITURE

Johanna Tammsalu from the Estonian capital Tallinn dedicates her work to conceptual product design. Her solo exhibition will present the ideas she has collected during the two-month residency within the project the K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence.

Through the optics of modern furniture design, Johanna explores the local elegant neoclassical architecture of the mid-eighteenth century. In the exhibition at the Šopa Gallery, she also explains the processes of creating a design.

The residency was organized by project K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence as a part of the collaboration with Estonian organization Tallinn Creative Hub. K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence is a part of Creative Industry Košice and is supported by MK SK and City Košice.
