Exhibition of Jaroslav Kyša (1981) We see objects around us because of the light they create foreshadows a shift in his work, as well as in the poetics of his thinking. The movement is in the direction from the reflection of specific historical events and local collective memory to the search for deeper universal connections. The author will present an interactive and technologically demanding site-specific installation.
Jaroslav Kyša (1981) belongs to the young generation of established artists who are active in exhibitions on the domestic and foreign art scene. He graduated from the Studio of Free Creativity 3D (J. Bartusz) at the Faculty of Arts of the Technical University in Košice. He has participated in several residences (Halle 14, Leipzig, Germany; Brooklyn Langer residency, New York, USA; Keret House, Warsaw, Poland). Already during his early artistic career, he won the German Szpilman Award. Today, sculptural, intermedia and performative works by Jaroslav Kyša have become an integral part of important curatorial exhibition projects with domestic as well as international significance (Is it here again?
