VANISHING WAVES

Ján Gašparovič (*1981) in his work systematically explores sound, light, space and various biological, chemical or physical processes. The results of his work, even if often only in the form of in-process scientific experiments, are always the demonstration of clear and perfect idea and form. In autumn 2016, Ján Gašparovič too0k part on two months residency in Leipzig within the project K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence. During the residency he explored four elements of an invisible physical world: microorganisms, electrosmog, temperature and properties of metal. The show Vanishing Waves points at all these elements, which can be just indirectly proven by simple experiments on the line between art and science.

The residency was part of cooperation with art centre Halle 14 and organization Creative Industry Košice. The exhibition is organized in cooperation with Šopa Gallery.
